Chicago Homes for Sale in Beverly
  • Beverly
  • West Beverly

Also know as Beverly Hills due to the area topography, Beverly is a unique southwest Chicago neighborhood with historic homes on relatively large lots by city standards. The architecture in Beverly consists primarily of large tudor and prairie-style homes built from 1860 to the 1950's. There is very little new construction in Beverly and housing turnover is low compared to other neighborhoods in the city.

There are three historic districts in Beverly including the Longwood Drive District. Located on a bluff overlooking the area, here you can find landmark homes including two built by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Until recently, Beverly was the home of the annual Southside Irish Parade. This annual festival held on St. Patrick's Day weekend drew more than 300,000 revelers from all over the Chicago area and beyond. Unfortunately, the parade has been cancelled for 2010 due to recent over-crowding and many people consuming just one too many beers.
